DEMENTIA CARE WORKSHOPS
When Deanna's father was diagnosed with dementia in 2017, she felt the frustration, fear, loneliness, and sense of loss that can come from watching someone you know and love change before your very eyes.
Today, she's helping to change the culture of dementia care and helping families navigate the realities of this disease as a certified independent Positive Approach to Care® trainer.
Her educational workshops give caregivers practical skills that will help them better care for and support those living with dementia using a relationship-first method. By taking a positive approach to care, caregivers are better equipped to weather the ups and downs of this disease while finding more beauty in the journey.
Workshop attendees join an inclusive community committed to building more positive and respectful relationships with those living with dementia; And they leave feeling more confident, more capable, and more supported in their efforts.
